Carlito Cenzon

Carlito Joaquin Cenzon CICM (born January 25, 1939 in Baguio City , Philippines ; † June 26, 2019 ibid.) Was a Filipino religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Baguio .

biography

Cenzon, a member of the Roman Catholic Order of Men, Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary , was ordained a priest on July 9, 1965 . On July 6, 1992 he was appointed by Pope John Paul II as Vicar Apostolic of Tabuk and Titular Bishop of Scebatiana and he was ordained episcopal on November 25, 1992 by Gian Vincenzo Moreni .

On January 25, 2002 he was called by John Paul II as Vicar Apostolic of Baguio before he was appointed first bishop of the newly established Diocese of Baguio on July 10, 2004. Just four days later he was co-consecrator at the ordination of Cornelio Galleo Wigwigan , Vicar Apostolic of Bontoc-Lagawe .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on October 1, 2016.
