Carlo Alberto Chiesa (* 1920 in Turin , † June 3, 1960 in Rome ) was an Italian director , film editor and screenwriter .

Life

Chiesa was a primarily commercial and newsreel director; occasionally he worked for the feature film, twice as a screenwriter and just as often as an editor. 1945 mounted it along with Mario Serandrei the docudrama days of glory (Giorni di Gloria) by Luchino Visconti .

In 1951 he directed the mediocre I due sergenti for the cinema ; In 1960 he directed the television film Giovani d'oggi .

Chiesa, who was married to the actress Isa Barzizza , died in a traffic accident. A prize from the EIP Scuola Strumento di Pace for ethics in journalistic reporting is named after Chiesa.
