Carlo Balochino

Carlo Balochino (* 1770 in Vercelli ( Piedmont ), † June 15, 1851 in Milan ) was an Italian theater director .

Balochino was originally a tailor. In 1836 he came to Vienna and rented there with Bartolomeo Merelli previously by Domenico Barbaja operated Court Theater on Kärntnertor . After 1848 the house was returned to the court administrative structure.

During Balochino's time, Conradin Kreutzer , Otto Nicolai and Gaetano Donizetti worked at this house.
