Der Zuchtbulle is a German TV film by Wolfgang F. Henschel from 2005 based on a script by Dinah Marte Golch . It is the 53rd episode of the crime series Der Bulle von Tölz with Ottfried Fischer as the main actor in the role of Chief Inspector Benno Berghammer. It was first broadcast on April 20, 2005 on Sat.1 .

action

State Secretary von Gluck relieves Prelate Behind his conscience. Meanwhile, the clergyman falls asleep in the confessional and, when he wakes up, notices that the State Secretary is dead. According to coroner Dr. Robert Sprung's use of an electric ox driver led to cardiac arrest, which was facilitated by taking a heart-weakening agent; apparently someone switched their heart medication. Prelate Hinters nap is due to the fact that he took a sleeping pill with beer.

The commissioners Benno Berghammer and Sabrina Lorenz find out something about the latest activities of the State Secretary: In order to implement a controversial road surveillance project in Bad Tölz, von Gluck bribed critical local councils. He also knew about the doping of bulls in Alois Burger's cattle farm, but closed his eyes and held out his hand. He has also been doping himself with a sexual enhancer for some time - but not for his wife. It is noticeable that von Gluck began to put his life in order two months ago. Among other things, he no longer cheated on his wife and he has recently become interested in her charity projects.

Benno Berghammer summons the councilors to the police station, but they complain to the interior minister, who then appoints the new public prosecutor Dr. Georg Lenz instructs to whistle back the commissioner. Lenz takes the view that there is no motive for murder in the municipal council because the road surveillance project is off the table.

When Alois Burger's bull freaks out and injures himself, the commissioners have his blood examined. The bull was pumped full of doping substances. The veterinarian Dr. Susanne Behrens claims that everything was okay when she was last checked. The commissioners search the vet's trunk and discover an ox driver. Dr. Behrens states that she only needed the State Secretary's signature twice to perfect her means of improving the performance of breeding bulls, when he suddenly became moral. But you didn't want to kill him. She also admits that she mixed the sleeping pill in Prelate Hinter's beer.

Mrs. von Gluck experiences another nasty surprise: the bailiff confiscates the entire property because her husband is deeply in debt without her knowledge; he speculated his fortune on the road surveillance project that had failed.

When the coroner realizes that the State Secretary only had a few months to live because of a brain tumor, it gradually becomes clear that von Gluck has committed suicide. Since his life insurance does not pay in the event of a suicide, but doubles in the event of an accident or murder, the State Secretary wanted to have a fatal car accident after confession and switched the heart medication himself. In addition, he gave his wife an alibi by asking her at the farmers' fair to wait in the marquee for prosecutor Lenz, even though he knew he would not come. So that Ms. von Gluck doesn't get into trouble with the insurance, Dr. Jump "Cause of death: bodily harm by ox driver resulting in death" in the death certificate.
