Carlo Bamberg

Carlo Bamberg (born January 7, 1947 ) is a former Luxembourg soccer player.

career

The home club of the offensive player was FC Avenir Beggen from the district of Luxembourg . His greatest success with the yellow-blacks was in the 1968/69 season winning the championship in the National Division . Bamberg - he is led in the top division with a total of 101 goals - was also used in the two games against AC Milan (0: 5, 0: 3) in the European Cup in 1969/70 . He played two caps for Luxembourg between 1969 and 1972. In the 1973/74 season he was with Beggen against Jeunesse Esch in the final of the Luxembourg Football Cup .

He made his debut in the national team on November 5, 1969 under coach Ernst Melchior in a friendly match against the Belgian B selection in Charleroi , which was lost 3-2. In the World Cup qualifier against Italy on October 7, 1972, he was substituted on in the second half. He stormed alongside Gilbert Dussier , the game was lost 4-0.
