Carlos Alberto Souza dos Santos (born December 9, 1960 in Vianópolis ) is a former Brazilian football player .

Career

The 1.76 meter tall midfielder began his career in 1981 with the Goiás EC club , where he was under contract for five years, but did not play any league games. After five years he moved to the club GE Novorizontino for one season , in which he again did not take part in any league games. After the season he moved to the club Botafogo for five years , where he again did not play any league games.

In 1992 he signed a four-year contract with the club Kashima Antlers , in which he did not take part in any league games in the first year. But he played three games in the Kaiser Cup, of which he scored twice, and played ten games in the J. League Cup and scored three goals. He played his first league games in 1993, in which he played 38 league games and scored eight goals. He also took part in five goalless games of the Kaiser Cup and six, equally goalless games of the J. League Cup. In 1994 he made 22 league games and scored four goals. He also played a goalless game in the Kaiser Cup and a game in the J. League Cup, in which he hit the net once. In his last year at the club, he played 25 league games and scored five goals.

After four years at the club, he moved to Shimizu S-Pulse , where he played 18 league games and scored three times in the goal. He also played a goalless game in the Kaiser Cup. He took part in 27 league games in his second year, from which he scored one goal. He also played a goalless game of the Kaiser Cup and 15 games of the J. League Cup, from which he brought a pass into the gate. In 31 league games he took part in the next year and scored three goals. He also played three games in the Kaiser Cup, of which he scored three times, as well as six goalless games in the J. League Cup. In 1998 he played 30 league games and scored four goals. He also took part in four league games of the Kaiser Cup and four league games in which he was able to promote a pass into the goal. The next year he completed 21 league games and scored four times.
