Xiro Papas
Xiro Papas (actually Ciro Papa ; born October 4, 1933 in Torre Annunziata , † May 14, 1980 near Padua ) was an Italian actor and film producer.
Papas had come to boxing as a teenager, which he practiced in the light heavyweight division. He remained undefeated until his military service, but stopped boxing at the request of his fiancée. At the end of the 1960s he came to film as a member of the technical crew and soon got his first roles in cheaply produced genre films that used the powerful, mostly mustached actor in roles as the villain. Several times in his 15-film career, he also played the monster in horror films .
With the company "Oplonti Film", which he founded, he also worked as a production manager from 1974.
Papas died in a car accident, leaving behind his wife and three children.
