Carlos Berrueta (also: Carlos Berruetta , Carlos Berruela ), full name Carlos Ernesto Berrueta , (born August 21, 1961 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

societies

Midfielder Berrueta was part of the Danubio FC team from 1978 to 1979 and at least 1981 . From 1983 to 1985 he was in the ranks of Nacional Montevideos , for whose team he scored a goal in the 1984 Copa Libertadores . In the Primera División he met once in 13 missions across the seasons. In 1983 the “Bolsos” named Montevideans were Uruguayan champions. For the Argentine club CA River Plate , he completed six league games in 1985 (no goal). In 1986 he returned to Danubio. From 1987 to 1989 he was active for SD Aucas . From 1990 he played for LDU Quito and won the Ecuadorian championship with the club that year. The commitment with the Ecuadorians initially ended in 1992. After another stopover at Danubio in 1993, LDU Quito was again run in 1994 as the last club in his active career.

National team

Berrueta he was a member of the Uruguayan national youth team, which reached the quarter-finals at the 1981 World Cup . There he was used three times and scored one goal. He was also South American champion in 1981 with the Uruguayan U-20 team alongside players like José Batista , Santiago Ostolaza , Jorge da Silva and Enzo Francescoli . During the tournament, he was used by coach Aníbal Gutiérrez Ponce five times (one goal).
