Carlos García Quesada
Carlos García Quesada (born April 18, 1978 in La Zubia ) is a former Spanish cyclist .
García Quesada became a professional with the Spanish cycling team Kelme in 2001 and stayed with this team until 2005 before ending his career with the Belgian team Unibet.com in 2006 .
Quesada took part in the Vuelta a España four times . His best placements were fifth in 2004 and fourth in 2005 . In 2005 he also single-handedly won the mountainous 17th stage.
He won the Ruta del Sol in 2006 . His success was based on a successful escape attempt on the first stage, when he and his brother Adolfo García Quesada joined a seven-man breakaway group, which at the finish had a lead of 31:19 minutes on the peloton and he was second behind his brother for the day.
