Carlos Núñez , full name Carlos Rodrigo Núñez Techera , (born June 22, 1992 in Canelones ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.72-meter-tall offensive player Núñez was at the beginning of his career in ranks of the Montevideo- based Liverpool Montevideo since at least the 2009/10 season . There he played two games in the Primera División that season . He did not score a hit. In the three following seasons, 42 more Premier League appearances followed for the Montevideans, in which he hit the opponent's goal ten times (2010/11: 11 games (5 goals); 2011/12: 21 (5); 2012/13 : 10 (0) ). He also played six games in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana and scored five goals in this competition. In February 2013, he moved to Club Atlético Peñarol on loan . Peñarol initially loaned Núñez until 2015 and acquired 25% of the transfer rights. It was agreed to pay the one million US dollars due in 36 installments. In the Clausura 2013 he played in nine first division games for the "Aurinegros" and hit the opposing goal once. At the end of the season he won the national championship title with the team. He was also used in two games (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores. In the 2013/14 season, the statistics show 15 games in the Primera División for Núñez, in which he scored six goals. He also played a game (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2013 and a game (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores. In the 2014/15 season he was used six times (one goal) in the top Uruguayan league and three times (one goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 until his last appearance for the Montevideans on November 15, 2014 against Rentistas . In mid-February 2015 it was then loaned out again. With Peñarol as a 25 percent shareholder of the transfer rights - the remaining 75% were still with Liverpool Montevideo at this point - he was contractually bound until the middle of the year and extended this contract to enable the proposed loan deal to the end of the year. Since then, his employer has been the Racing Club de Avellaneda . With the Argentines he made his debut in the Primera División on February 22, 2015 in a 0-0 win against Club Olimpo . He played a total of eight top division games (three goals) and two encounters (no goal) in the 2015 Copa Libertadores . In November 2015, the lending business was extended to December 2016. The Argentines secured a purchase option. While Núñez did not have to pay a loan fee for the first loan due to the torn cruciate ligament in the player's left knee in the game against Huracán and the associated six-month mandatory break, according to press reports, a fee of $ 200,000 was due for the extension. Racing secured a subsequent purchase option for $ 4,000,000. However, he initially returned to Liverpool in mid-July 2016. In early August 2016, Liverpool then loaned him to the Mexican club Chiapas FC . There he was used in two first division games (no goal) and one game (no goal) of the Copa México . Another loan from Club Guaraní from Paraguay followed from mid-February 2017 .
