Carlos Tobar Zaldumbide

Carlos Tobar Zaldumbide (born December 29, 1912 in Quito ; † July 21, 1995 there ) was an Ecuadorian diplomat and politician.

Life

Tobar Zaldumbide attended the Colegio de San Gabriel from 1924 to 1928 and the Villa St. Jean in Friborg (Switzerland) for three years. He studied in Paris and at the ETH Zurich . In 1939 he entered the diplomatic service in his country. From September 1, 1956 to August 18, 1960 he was Foreign Minister in the government of President Camilo Ponce Enríquez .
