Marc Groß (born August 12, 1987 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German soccer player who has been playing for the lower-class club SV Wiesenthalerhof since 2018 .

Athletic career

Time in Kaiserslautern

Until 2009, Groß played exclusively for clubs in his hometown Kaiserslautern . In younger years these were called SG Eintracht Kaiserslautern, TSG Kaiserslautern and VfR Kaiserslautern . In the course of 2003, Groß was discovered by the most successful club from Kaiserslautern. He was accepted into the youth team of 1. FC Kaiserslautern . At the end of 2003, Groß had his first U-19 Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart . On December 4, 2005 , he scored two goals against the U-19 of SSV Jahn Regensburg . In 2006 he was appointed to the 2nd team at 1. FC Kaiserslautern . Until then, Groß had scored 7 goals in 60 U-19 Bundesliga games. In the following three seasons he mainly gained experience in promotion and relegation battles . First, large rose with the then third-class loud reserve in the 2006/07 season in the Oberliga Südwest . In the following season , the team rose directly back to the newly founded Regionalliga West . Groß contributed to the ascent with two goals. After the rise again, Groß stayed with the loud reserve for another year.

SV 07 Elversberg

Groß moved to the then fourth-class SV 07 Elversberg for the 2009/10 season . Although he also played in the second team until 2012, Groß was able to establish himself in the Saarland's first team . In the first season for Elversberg, Groß was allowed to appear for the professional team 25 times. He scored his first (and so far only) goal for Elversberg in the 2011/12 season against his predecessor club, the reserve team of 1. FC Kaiserslautern . On May 7, 2013 , Groß played his 100th league game for the Saarlanders against SC Pfullendorf . With 32 league games and 2 promotion games, Groß contributed to the Elversberg's promotion to the third division in the 2012/13 season . There he played his first games in German professional football .

Subclass

In 2016 he then moved back to his youth club VfR Kaiserslautern in the district league West Palatinate and in summer 2018 he switched to the district league club SV Wiesenthalerhof.
