Carlos de Deus

Carlos da Conceição de Deus is an East Timorese politician and professor. He is a member of FRETILIN.

Deus took over the post of State Secretary for Region III ( Dili , Aileu , Ermera ) from Egídio de Jesus when the Second East Timor government took office on July 14, 2006 . Deus also retained this position under the next Prime Minister, Estanislau da Silva . After the regular elections in 2007 , Deus left office on August 8, 2007 when the fourth government took office.

He later became a professor in the Faculty of Agriculture at Universidade Nasionál Timór Lorosa'e (UNTL) and wrote several papers on agricultural topics.
