José Ramos-Horta, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
The II. Constitutional Government of East Timor (II Constitutional Government) was the second government of East Timor since the dismissal of East Timor to independence on May 20, 2002. The independent Prime Minister José Ramos-Horta ruled on 10 July 2006 to 19 May 2007.

After the resignation of Prime Minister Marí Alkatiri on June 26, 2006 due to the unrest in East Timor in 2006 , the previous Foreign Minister and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate José Ramos-Horta took over the post. His cabinet was presented on July 14th. On July 21, it was supplemented by the appointments of José Luís Guterres and José Agostinho Sequeira . In 2007, Ramos-Horta resigned as Prime Minister after winning the 2007 East Timor presidential election . On May 20, 2007, Ramos-Horta was sworn in as President .
