Lino de Jesus Torrezão (born June 2, 1962 in Bobonaro , Portuguese Timor ) is an East Timorese politician and official. He is a member of FRETILIN .

Career

From 1986 to 1990 Torrezão studied “Public Administration” at the Palangkaraya Academy in Palangka Raya ( Central Kalimantan ), Indonesia, and from 1994 to 1996 “Public Financial Management” in Jakarta .

At the same time, Torrezão worked from 1986 in the provincial administration in Palangka Raya as a probation officer. Between 1991 and 1994 he returned to his home occupied by Indonesia East Timor and became administrator of the sub-district Letefoho Subdistrict . After completing his second degree, he held the same position in the Railaco sub-district from 1997 to 1999.

Torrezão was Director of Territorial Administration in the Ministry of State Administration before he took over the post of State Secretary for Region IV ( Bobonaro , Cova Lima , Liquiçá ) from César da Cruz on 14 July 2006 when the Second East Timorese government took office. Torrezão also retained this position under the next Prime Minister, Estanislau da Silva . After the regular elections in 2007 , Torrezão resigned from office on August 8, 2007 when the fourth government took office.

In 2013, Torrezão became director of the Secretariat in Support of the Installation of Municipalities in the Ministry of State Administration. With the conversion of the previous districts into municipalities in 2015, the planned decentralization of East Timor was advanced.

With the change in the governing coalition and the admission of FRETILIN into the 8th government , Torrezão was sworn in as Vice Minister for State Administration on June 24, 2020.

Torrezão has completed several training courses including local authority management, “Facilitated Vision and Sector Planning Meeting in East Timor” in Japan (2002), Dili Trainer Training Course (2003), “Tax Decentralization Program; The Concepts and Application for East Timor ", Georgia State University , USA (2005) and" Professional Fellows Program "in Washington, DC , USA (2014) and Melbourne in Australia (2015).
