Carmen Delia Dipini

Carmen Delia Dipiní (born November 18, 1927 in Naguabo ; † August 4, 1998 ) was a Puerto Rican singer.

Dipiní started singing at the age of seven and made her debut as a professional singer with Rafael Quiñones Vidal on the radio station WNAM . With the help of her friend Ruth Hernandez , she went to New York at the age of twenty. There she recorded with Claudio Ferrer , the Trío Johnny Rodríguez as well as Johnny Albino and the San Juan Trio and worked with Mario de Jesús Báez and the orchestra of René Touzet . In Cuba she sang recordings with Sonora Matancera and appeared on radio and television in Havana.
