Carmen José

Carmen José (born July 25, 1991 in Valencia ) is a Spanish visual artist .

Life

Carmen José studied fine art at Universidad Complutense Madrid for two years . In 2012 she came to Germany and continued her studies at the Kassel Art College in visual communication with a focus on illustration and editorial design. After graduation, she started a postgraduate education in Arts at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam in 2018 .

She has been working as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and art teacher since 2014

In 2014 she and Kathi Seemann founded the paper café , a sales room and event location at the Kassel Art College , where young artists can present their work.
