Carol Joffe is a production designer .
Life
Joffe began her career on the film staff in 1979 as a technical consultant for interior design for the filming of the comedy film The Chance of his Life . In 1980 she worked at Stardust Memories for the first time with Woody Allen , who hired her for five of his feature films by 1987. For Allen's comedy Hannah and her sisters , she and Stuart Wurtzel were nominated for the first time for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design in 1991 . The following year came the second Oscar nomination for Allen's Radio Days , this time with Santo Loquasto , George DeTitta Jr. , and Leslie Bloom .
She had another long-term collaboration with director Alan J. Pakula ; between 1981 and 1990 she worked on five of his films, including The Rollover Plot and For Lack of Evidence . Her last film engagement was the Frank Oz comedy What about Bob? in 1990.
