The Rollover Plot ( Rollover ) is an American thriller directed by Alan J. Pakula from 1981 .

Lee Winters' husband, head of Winterchem Enterprises , is murdered after discovering a secret account number 21214. Lee Winters investigates the background of the crime and at the same time continues her husband's business. She meets the finance manager Hubbell Smith, whom she later marries.

Smith and Winters discover that the account belongs to Arabs engaged in shady transactions. You try to kill Winters as an uncomfortable witness. They later kidnap her husband.

The Arabs panic and withdraw their money from US accounts. The film ends with a global economic crisis.
