Guglielmo Garroni

Guglielmo Garroni (also William Garroni or Bill Garroni ; born January 17, 1924 in Rome , † May 15, 2002 in Wädenswil , Switzerland ?) Is an Italian cameraman and film director .

Life

Garroni came into contact with the film industry through his brother Romolo and began working as a camera assistant in 1948, often for Gábor Pogány . In 1954 he made several films as chief cameraman, but emigrated to the United States the following year . He returned in the late 1960s and made a nearly unpublished film, Hano ucciso un altro bandito , which he also produced. He then appeared as a cameraman under the Anglicized first name William for two major US productions and as executive producer of several successful films, such as Horror Infernal .

Film producer Andrew Garroni is one of his two sons.
