Carol Kendall

Carol Kendall (born September 13, 1917 in Bucyrus , Ohio , † July 28, 2012 in Lawrence , Kansas ) was an American writer .

Life

Carol Kendall made her debut as a writer with the two novels The Black Seven (1946) and The Baby Snatcher (1952). Then she decided to write only novels for young people. Her youth novel The Whisper of Glocken , published in 1965, served as a template in 1980 for the animated series of the same name produced by Hanna-Barbera , The Whisper of Glocken .

In 1939 she married the English professor and historian Paul Murray Kendall, with whom she remained married until his death in 1973. She died on July 28, 2012. She was survived by her two daughters and three grandchildren.
