Carol Mayo Jenkins
Carol Mayo Jenkins (born November 24, 1938 in Knoxville , Tennessee ) is an American actress .
Life
Carol Mayo Jenkins studied for three years at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and became a stage actress at the American Conservatory Theater from the mid-1960s , then also starred in three Broadway plays and several off-Broadway productions, as well as in Old Globe Theater in San Diego .
She became known on television from 1982 with the series Fame - The Road to Fame as the English teacher Elizabeth Sherwood . In addition to smaller TV appearances, she was then mainly seen in regional theater productions and worked as an acting teacher at the University of Tennessee .
