Carol Nugent

Carol Lou Nugent (born July 7, 1937 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress who began her career as a child actor and took part in over twenty feature films by 1968.

Life

Carol Lou Nugent was born in Los Angeles in 1937. Her father was employed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer , and her mother was a talent agent who managed both Carol and her younger sister Judy .

Nugent made her first film appearance in 1944 at the age of seven in Secret Command . In the following years she worked in three other films as a child actor, including on the side of her younger sister. Her best-known films were Cheaper by the Dozen from 1950 and its sequel to the dozen marriageable from 1952, in which she played the role of Lillie Gilbreth .

As a teenager, Nugent played mostly in television series and B-movies . After her career waned, she ended her career as an actress in 1968 with an episode of the television series Dear Uncle Bill .

Nugent was married to actor Nick Adams from 1959 until his death in 1968 . The couple had two children together. She has been married to television producer John G. Stephens since 2002.
