Carol O'Connell (* 26. May 1947 in New York City ) is an American thriller - writer .

Life

O'Connell studied art at Arizona State University and the California Institute of the Arts , but was unsuccessful as an artist in New York and did not begin writing until she was in her forties. She became known with a number of detective novels about the New York police officer Kathy Mallory.

Carol O'Connell lives in New York.
