Pedro da Silva (athlete)

Pedro da Silva ( Pedro Ferreira da Silva Filho; born October 24, 1966 ) is a former Brazilian decathlete .

At the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987 , he did not finish the competition.

In 1991 he won the Pan American Games in Havana . At the World Cup in Tokyo , he suffered a premature end after failing to cross the finish line in the 110-meter hurdles .

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, the competition was over for him when he failed to make a valid attempt in the discus throw .

In 1995 he was fifth at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata and won the South American Athletics Championships in Manaus .

He set his personal best of 8266 points on April 23, 1987 in Walnut .
