Judith Schwaab

Judith Schwaab (* 1960 in Grünstadt ) is a German literary translator and editor .

Life

Judith Schwaab studied Italian Philology and worked as a literary translator. In 1991 she became a publishing editor at Droemer Knaur Kindler . From 1997 to 2002 she worked as head editor for fiction at Blessing / Knaus Verlag .

She is editor and translator of the English-language authors Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie , Laura Barnett , Jedediah Berry , Fredrik Brounéus , Cassandra Brooke , Geraldine Brooks , Stephen L Carter , Carol O'Connell , Debra Dean , Anthony Doerr , Alan Drew , Fernanda Eberstadt , Sara Forster , Kate Furnivall , Robert Goolrick , Lauren Groff , Jane Harris , Sheridan Hay , Anna Hope , Katherine Howe , Kelly Jones , Shelly King , Kay Langdale , Alan Lazar , Richard Mason , Jojo Moyes , Sara Nović , Irene Sabatini , Michelle Sacks , Rebecca Serle , Andrew Wilson and Don Winslow . She has translated books from Italian by Giacomo Cacciatore , Irene Cao , Teresa De Sio , Cristina De Stefano , Maurizio de Giovanni , Viola di Grado , Francesca Muci and Donatella Rizzati .
