Carol Twombly
Carol Twombly (born June 13, 1959 in Concord , Massachusetts , USA ) is an American font designer .
She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and at Stanford University in California . In 1984 she was awarded the first prize for their font Mirarae at the company Morisawa in Japanese Osaka . She also designs fonts for the American company Adobe (for example Caslon, Charlemagne, Trajan and Lithos).

- Myriad (1992) : The designer created this font together with Robert Slimbach . The cut corresponds to that of an Antiqua, only the font has no serifs . The font is now also available in Cyrillic and Greek letters and in many different weights.

- Chaparral (1997) : With this typeface, Twombly set himself the goal of uniting a traditional book font from the 16th century with accentuated serifs from the 19th century.
