Carol Vitéz

Carol Vitéz (born June 3, 1974 in Timișoara , Socialist Republic of Romania ) is a German-Romanian violinist , conductor and composer . He comes from the same family of musicians as the violinist Cornelia Vasile .

Education

Carol Vitéz began his musical education at the age of five. He was a student of Gratiela Negrutiu, then he studied at the National College of Arts Ion Vidu in Timișoara with Octavian Nicolaevici, a student of George Enescu . He then continued his violin studies at the University of the West Timișoara and at the Rostock University of Music and Theater . With a scholarship, he took master's courses with Leonidas Kavakos , Ruggiero Ricci , Ida Haendel , Stefan Ruha , Ion Voicu , Stefan Gheorghiu and Valery Gradow .

Violinist and conductor

He made his solo debut at the age of twelve with the Violin Concerto in E minor by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy at the Banat Philharmonic . Since then he has played as a soloist and has conducted orchestras such as the George Enescu National Philharmonic, Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, Europa Philharmonic, Timișoara State Philharmonic, Targu Mures State Philharmonic, Satu Mare State Philharmonic, Oradea State Philharmonic, Orquesta de Extremadea Mediterranea and Orquesta Europe. There are also a large number of concerts and recordings of Carol Vitéz as a conductor. He is the founder and director of the I Musici Palatini chamber orchestra .
