Carola Timm (* 6. May 1969 in Hamburg ) is a politician of the party Alliance 90 / The Greens Hamburg and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and work

Carola Timm studied law and journalism. In 1999 she completed her doctorate on the subject of freedom of expression and protection of personality in a legal comparison with the USA.

Carola Timm works as a lawyer in the administration of the city of Hamburg. She is married and lives in Bergedorf .

politics

Carola Timm has been active in various positions at the Hamburg Greens since 2007. Among other things, she was on the state executive committee and district chairwoman in Bergedorf.

In the 2015 citizenship election , she ran for second place on the list in Bergedorf and 27th on the state list. After Jens Kerstan was appointed senator in the red-green Senate , Timm moved up for him in April 2015. There she officiated as spokeswoman for science, justice and data protection in the Greens parliamentary group. She was a member of the committees for justice and data protection and for science and equality as well as in the commission according to Art. 10 GG .

In the 2020 general election she did not run for professional reasons.
