Carolina Valencia

Carolina Valencia (born February 8, 1985 ) is a Mexican weightlifter .

Career

Valencia was junior vice world champion in 2005. Among the active, she took 14th place in the class up to 48 kg at the world championships in the same year. In 2006 she won the gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games and finished eleventh at the World Championships . At the 2007 Pan American Games , Valencia won gold. In 2009 she won the title at the Pan American Championships and finished eighth in the World Championships .

At the Pan American Championships 2010 she defended her title and at the World Championships 2010 she was tenth. In 2012 and 2013, Valencia won silver at the Pan American Championships. She was third at the 2013 World Championships . However, her bronze medal was revoked because she tested positive for stanozolol and dehydrochloromethyltestosterone during the doping control .
