Caroline Botgorschek
Caroline Botgorschek , married Caroline Feuchere (born May 21, 1815 in Vienna , Austrian Empire , † October 7, 1875 in Nismes , Belgium ) was an Austrian opera singer ( alto ).
Life
Caroline Botgorschek trained at the Vienna Conservatory and trained her voice with Mozatti and Giuseppe Ciccimara . In 1835 she was employed at the Theater am Kärntnertor . She made her debut there as “Arsace” in “ Semiramis ”, but soon left the theater and followed a call to the court theater in Dresden, where she began her engagement in the opera Tancredi . In 1840 she left Dresden for lack of employment and went on an art tour. Then she withdrew into private life.
In 1844 she married the French decorative painter and department architect Feuchere and lived for some time in Paris. After the death of her husband, she moved to Nismes , where she also died.
