Caroline Brinkmann

Caroline Brinkmann (* 1987 ) is a German writer and doctor . She publishes books for teenagers and young adults.

biography

Brinkmann studied human medicine and works as a doctor in addition to writing. In 2013 she founded the ink pen authors' portal, which educates budding writers about the publishing industry. In 2014 she published her debut and in the same year won the readers' award for “Best German Debut Author” on LovelyBooks .

With anecdotes from the fictional flat share of Dirk and I , also known as Dirk's Diary , she gained a lot of attention in social networks. A story based on the anecdotes was published by Ullstein Verlag under the title A unicorn for all cases and won the Skoutz Award in the humor category at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2018 .

In 2017 her dystopia The Perfect ones appeared at Bastei Lübbe . In history, the genetic material determines the social structures. At the top are the supposedly perfect people who rule the country. As part of the Munich Book Show, the book was presented and exhibited in the special exhibition "The 100 Best" (2017). The second part, Die Vereinte , appeared the following year and marks the end of the series.
