Caroline Munro (born January 16, 1949 in Windsor , Berkshire ) is a British actress .

Life

Munro started her career at the age of 16 when she won the Face of the Year competition in the UK. She then worked as a model for Vogue and in television commercials, and eventually got into film. In the early 1970s she became a contract actress with Hammer Studios . Her best-known appearance, however, is as Stromberg's deadly helicopter pilot and confidante in the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me . Munro was originally planned as a cast for the Soviet agent Anja Amasova , but was replaced by Barbara Bach for unknown reasons . She had a less fortunate hand in choosing her films afterwards; Her music recordings and appearances in music videos and theater appearances are also less well known. She had a smaller hit in the charts with “Pump me up”.

From 1984 to 1987 she starred in the television series 3-2-1 ; since the end of this engagement she only performed occasionally and otherwise devoted herself to her family. After a liaison with the British singer Colin Blunstone until 1970, who published the song "Caroline Goodbye" (1971) after the separation, she was married to actor Judd Hamilton ; in second marriage she married director George Dugdale , with whom she has two daughters.

After the turn of the millennium, Munro was seen more often in feature film roles.
