Caroline Schwarz (born Caroline Lange ; born March 29, 1954 in Lübeck ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Caroline Lange passed her Abitur in 1972 at the ancient language branch of the Katharineum in Lübeck . Until 1978 she studied classical philology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and the Philipps-Universität Marburg . She taught at the Schleswig-Flensburg District Music School and from 1981 worked as an insurance clerk for a building society and insurance company. In 1982 she joined the CDU. In 1982 she was elected chairwoman of the women's union in Schleswig and the surrounding area, and in 1986 in the city ​​council of Schleswig. From 2003 to 2008 she was 1st Deputy Mayor and First City Councilor.

In the election on April 5, 1992, she entered the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament via the CDU state list . She was a member of the submissions and environmental committees. With 39.7 percent of the vote, she was directly elected in 1996 in the Schleswig-Süd state electoral district. She was a member of the Education Committee, the Command Committee and 1999/2000 alternate member of Pallas - committee . In 2000 she came back to the state parliament via the CDU state list and was a member of it until March 2005.

Between May 2005 and the formation of a new government as a result of the Schleswig-Holstein state election in 2012, Caroline Schwarz was the commissioner for minorities and culture in Schleswig-Holstein.

She is married to a historian and lives in Schleswig.
