Carrigtwohill ( Irish : Carraig Thuathail ) is a suburb of Cork in County Cork in the southwest of the Republic of Ireland with just under 5,100 inhabitants.
The place was first mentioned in 1234 as Karrectochell; later spellings as Carrigtuoghill, Carrigtoghill, Carrigtowhill and Carrigtowil are known.
It is east of Cork on the Midleton railway line .
