Carsten Nemitz

Carsten Nemitz (born March 11, 1963 in Neumünster ) is a former German soccer player . He played two games in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Life

Nemitz played as a youth at the clubs TuS Garbek, Eintracht Segeberg and Itzehoer SV . In Itzehoe he was accepted into the men's team by trainer Bernd Brehme at the age of 17. The goal-scoring attacker was invited to a trial training session by Bayern Munich . A knee injury prevented the move to Munich.

After a brief stop at Eintracht Braunschweig , Nemitz joined the league club VfB Lübeck in 1981 , with whom he had to accept relegation to the association league on the last game day of the 1982/83 round. In the summer of 1983 he went to FC St. Pauli . In 1984 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. On March 16, 1985, he played his first second division appearance for Hamburg against Hessen Kassel in the Millerntorstadion : The 1.86-meter-long center forward who studied medicine was in the starting eleven, in the 62nd minute he was replaced by coach Michael Lorkowski  . On May 18 of the same year he was substituted on in the 86th minute in the home game against 1. FC Saarbrücken . That was also his last appearance in the second division.

In the summer of 1985 he went to 1. SC Norderstedt in the Oberliga Nord, and in 1986 he switched to Holstein Kiel (also Oberliga). He scored 72 goals in 125 games for Kiel.

In 1990 he returned to Norderstedt, where he played until 1991. In a total of 166 league appearances during his career, Nemitz scored 86 goals. He then worked as a player- coach from 1991 to 1996 at ASV Dersau and in 1996 at TSV Malente .

Professionally, he worked as an entrepreneur (among other things as owner and partner) in various economic and service branches, including in the real estate business, in the construction industry as well as in the fields of care for the elderly and management consultancy. In 2013 Nemitz suffered a stroke, was in a coma, and was then paralyzed on one side.
