Carsten Wüst (born June 8, 1992 ) is a German saber fencer .

Life

Carsten Wüst began his fencing career in 1998 at Königsbacher SC. On August 1, 2015, he moved to the Olympic base at the Tauberbischofsheim fencing club , where he was active until August 21, 2018. Wüst has been active for Future Fencing Werbach since August 22, 2018 .

Sporting successes

Wüst was able to win the bronze medal at the German fencing championships in 2016 , 2017 and 2018 with the saber team of the Tauberbischofsheim fencing club. According to the FIE , Wüst achieved 6 World Cup points internationally in the 2016/17 season. From 2016 to 2017 Wüst was a member of the B-squad, that is, the highest German federal squad of saber fencers.
