In 1491 he was with the marriage of Pellegrina Foscari and Alvise Mocenigo dalle Zogie together with two adjacent buildings in the alley to the family Mocenigo .

description

Casa Foscari Mocenigo is the head building of a complex of 26 houses on Calle del Paradiso in the San Lio district , which culminates in Ponte del Paradiso . As one of the most graceful examples of a house overhanging the alley (“Barbacane”), it shows an old Venetian- Byzantine facade that was spoiled by later interventions to adapt the building to new needs. The main facade extends over four floors: the ground floor shows a curved portal to the water, similar to the Byzantine style, the mezzanine floor has small single windows, the main floor a Byzantine triple window (which was later converted into a quadruple window by adding a Renaissance arch) and two single windows. The floor above has a double window and two single windows.

The side facade has two triple windows, one Gothic and the other Renaissance. At either end of the alley are two arches that were once supposed to show the ownership of the buildings on either side of the alley. The more beautiful and grandiose of the two is the one at the bridge to Campo Santa Maria Formosa , which shows a Madonna on the side facing the canal, flanked by prayers, and on the side facing the alley the coats of arms of both families.
