The Cassiopea- class (or Costellazioni-class) is an offshore patrol vessel (OPV) class of the Italian Marina Militare .

These units are primarily used to monitor coastal waters (e.g. combating migration) and the EEZ (e.g. fisheries protection). In addition, they can be used for civil protection, environmental protection and sea ​​rescue tasks. All six ships are based in Augusta , Sicily , and are under the command of the patrol forces there (COMFORPAT). The units of Cassiopea class were opposed to the Corvettes of the Minerva class built to commercial standards.
