Castle Malgwyn ("Castell Malgwyn") is a place in Pembrokeshire , Wales . On August 10, 1875 , there was a tidal wave there that killed two people.

The misfortune

From August 6 to 10, 1875, 4.46 inches (= 113 mm) of rain fell in the catchment area of the River Teifi . The floods flooded three reservoirs a little above Cardigan , causing them to break. 50 houses were flooded, damaged or destroyed by the water masses. Two people drowned.
