Catharina Schimpf (born July 11, 1990 in Rostock ) is a German soccer player . The defender played for Hamburger SV in the women's Bundesliga .

Career

Catharina Schimpf began her football career at the age of seven at SV Hafen Rostock under her father, who was coach there at the time . At the age of twelve she switched to the youth of the FFV Neubrandenburg . Three years later she played for the first women's team in the 2nd Bundesliga North before moving to Hamburger SV in 2008 . There she was committed to the 2nd women's team, but was transferred to the 1st team early on, in which she played in the starting eleven. In the 2008/2009 season, she played 14 league games for HSV in the Bundesliga and in the following season only played in the 2nd Bundesliga reserve team. In February 2010 she left HSV and paused for half a year. After her six-month break, she joined Bramfelder SV in autumn 2010 .

Catharina Schimpf has been a national selection player since she was under 13 and was spotted for the youth national team from 2004 to 2006. She took part in several viewing courses and in 2004 and 2005 at the "Ballzauber", in which 30 players were selected and made various appearances.
