Catharina Schwägler (born July 26, 1994 ) is a German soccer player who plays for VfL Sindelfingen II in the Regionalliga Süd.
Career
Catharina Schwägler started playing soccer in Altingen in 1999 . At TSV Altingen, she went through several youth departments and learned the basics of football before moving to SV Unterjesingen in 2004 and playing in all-girls teams.
In summer 2008 she moved to SV Eutingen because her sister Marina already played for SVE and the B-Juniors.
In summer 2009 she moved to the B-Juniors from VfL Sindelfingen and played in the Regionalliga Süd. For the 2011/12 season she moved to the first team of VfL Sindelfingen, in the 2nd Bundesliga . She made her debut game in the 2nd Bundesliga on September 4, 2011 in the home game against SC 07 Bad Neuenahr II , when she came on for her sister Marina Schwägler in the 75th minute of play . She has not yet scored her first goal in the 2nd Bundesliga. At the end of the 2011/12 season she was able to become champions of the second division south with her team and rose to the Bundesliga .
There she made her debut on September 2, 2012 in the home game against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam , when she was in the starting line-up. She has not yet scored her first goal in the Bundesliga. During the winter break of the 2012/13 season, she switched to the second team for professional reasons and played in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for VfL Sindelfingen II.
