Cecil Le Cronier Browning (born January 29, 1883 in London , † March 23, 1953 ) was a British racket player .
successes
At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , Cecil Browning took part in the racket competitions in singles and doubles. Together with Edmund Bury , he secured the silver medal. There were only two games in total in the competition. In the semifinals, John Jacob Astor and Vane Pennell prevailed against Evan Baillie Noel and Henry Leaf , so that in the final Browning and Bury met Astor and Pennell. The latter won the game with 6:15, 15: 7, 16:15, 15: 6 and 15: 7. In the individual, Browning was eliminated in the first round against the eventual Olympic champion Noel.
Browning served during the First World War in the Royal Flying Corps .
