Cecilia Li (born 1957 in Taipei , Taiwan ) is a concert pianist and develops her repertoire both in Europe and Asia. Together with her husband, the choreographer Sebastian Prantl , she dedicates herself to transcultural art-based research. She is Austrian by choice and lives in Vienna.

At the age of eight she began studying piano at Kwang-Jen High School with Iman Wu and Robert Scholz . At the age of 14 she continued her studies at the “ Mozarteum ” University of Music in Salzburg in concert with Kurt Neumüller. Her other teachers included Tatjana Nikolaijewa , Meira Farkas , Norman Shetler and Sandor Végh .

Li received several prizes and awards. At the age of 20 she graduated from the concert subject with the highest distinction and received a prize from the Austrian Ministry of Science. Her numerous solo and chamber music appearances include u. a. the National Theater and Concert Hall in Taipei, the Great Concert Hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Chamber Music Festival Salzburg, the Palais Coburg concert series in Vienna, the Liszt Concert Hall Raiding and the Strovolos Theater in Nicosia / Cyprus. Master Class: Taipei National University of Arts and Tainan National University of Arts.

Interdisciplinary projects with the Tanz Atelier Wien were u. a. at the 3rd Beijing Art Festival, the European Dance Festival Limassol / Cyprus, Taipei Opera Experimental Theater, 1st Dance Festival in India, Vienna Secession, Festspielhaus St. Pölten , Long Night of Music in St. Lambrecht at the Styriarte , Long Night of Churches shown in Stephansdom Vienna, Wien Modern, Palais Lichtenstein Vienna, Museum Mainz in Germany and the Taipei Kuandu Arts Festival 2013.

Li is co-founder of the International ChoreoLab Austria, a cooperation between Tanz Atelier Wien, Danube University Krems and the Symposion of European Sculptors (SEB) from St. Margarethen / Burgenland that has existed since 2009 .

In 2004 she founded her own CD label Shiuling Records .

Cecilia Li has been the musical director and dramaturge of Tanz Atelier Wien - Trans Art Works (TAW) since 1988.
