Cecilie Løveid (born August 21, 1951 in Eidsberg , Østfold Province ) is a Norwegian playwright and poet.

Cecilie Løveid graduated from Kunst- og håndverkskolen and also studied theater studies. She is counted among the most important playwrights of the 1980s and 1990s. Most of her pieces have been translated.

Løveid prefers an associative representation technique in her work.
