history
Cedar Bluff was founded at the intersection of Livingston and Center roads . East of Cedar Bluff, a battle took place during the Civil War in which Confederate General Nathan Bedforst Forest and his army defeated Abel Streight's . From 1837 to 1844 was Cedar Bluff office of the County administration ( County Seat ).
An industrial structure in Cedar Bluff is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as of July 8, 2019, the Cornwall Furnace .

According to the 2000 census, Cedar Bluff had 1,467 residents, spread across 830 households and 444 families.
