Cedar Creek , also written Cedarcreek , is a township and unincorporated area with 470 inhabitants (2010) in Taney County , Missouri , USA , on the left bank of Bull Shoals Lake , which was created by damming the White River in Bull Shoals 1947-1951. It is on Missouri supplementary road (second order state road) M, about 15 mi (24 km) southeast of Branson , from which the supplementary road KK branches off in the middle of the local area . Cedar Creek is part of the Branson, Missouri micropolitan area , which has been included in the Springfield metropolitan area since 2012 , and the Forsyth R-III school district. It is named after the left tributary of the White River of the same name. Cedar Creek has a shop and post office with zip code 65627 that opened around 1862 and moved to its current location in 1886. In the western part there is an airfield with a grass runway. The site is the setting for Naomi King's novels about an Amish family.
