Despite its remote location, the city is also known as " The Live Entertainment Capital of the World " or " Family-friendly Las Vegas " with almost eight million visitors annually.

Branson has more than 50 theaters , which are often owned by country, hit and entertainment stars, some of whom appear in them themselves.

There are also numerous museums in Branson , including one of only six museums in the country dedicated to US presidents. The supraregional well-known Titanic Museum is partly housed in a dummy of the front half of the bow of the TITANIC on a scale of 1: 2. The museum collection includes 400 artifacts in 20 galleries as well as a full-size replica of the famous main staircase of the TITANIC.

Since May 2009, the first privately built and operated airport (IATA code BBG) in the USA has been located 15 kilometers from the city center. In the first stage of expansion, it is designed for 500,000 passengers per year.
