The Branson Airport ( IATA code BKG , ICAO code KBBG ) is an American airport in Branson , Missouri , which is designed for (in a first stage) 500,000 passengers a year.
history
The airport is located in the southwest of the state of Missouri. The groundbreaking ceremony for the airport, which opened in May 2009, took place in 2007. It is America's first privately built and operated airport. The airport cost $ 155 million to build .

The airport has a terminal with four gates, which is designed for 500,000 travelers annually. The capacity can be increased to up to 1,500,000 passengers through expansion stages. Entry is via passenger stairs, as the terminal is at ground level and therefore has no passenger boarding bridges.

In addition to the passenger area, the airport also has an area for private aviation with parking positions for small aircraft such as the Cessna 172 . There is also a hangar.
