The Cape Girardeau Regional Airport ( IATA : CGI , ICAO : KCGI ) is the airport of the city of Cape Girardeau in Cape Girardeau County in the southeast of the US -amerikanischen state of Missouri . It is located eight miles south of the city in Scott County . The airport is owned by the city of Cape Girardeau and is used for general aviation for the region on the border between the states of Missouri and Illinois .
